Thank God for His language of love!
Bonjour from Haiti! 🙂
Today was our team’s first day at the children’s school. I was a little nervous when asked to create plans and activities for our time with the kids. I thought by not knowing them, their abilities, or their language it would be difficult to connect and teach. Thank God for His language of love! We all, as a team, instantly connected with the children. Lots of hugs, smiles, and laughs from the time we met on Sunday. These children have moved all of our hearts this week. It’s unbelievable to hear their stories and to know where they come from. It’s absolutely amazing to witness how their lives have been spared by God. It’s also amazing to see how God has used the Hattens and their ministry at the school and orphanage to enrich and provide for these children. The Hattens are such an amazing testimony to me of giving and selfless love. I am forever changed by my time with this precious family.
This whole experience continues to remind us how God loves and extends His grace even to the least of these.
As students, they have been learning English in this last year. We have been able to put them to the test this week. They have truly done amazing and been able to use their English when communicating with us. This whole experience continues to remind us how God loves and extends His grace even to the least of these. I am just hoping as the week continues that we can continue to learn from one another as God works in both our hearts and theirs. I know I am forever changed by this experience. Over the last few years God has put a special love and burden in my family’s hearts for orphans. We’ve been praying through what that looks like for our family. This trip has encouraged me! I am confident that we are to take the next step in pursuing adoption. I am also grateful for how my eyes and heart have been opened to the nations and God’s love for them. Thank you God for this first hand experience! Thank you Redemption Church for all of your love and prayers!!
