HOPE #1: I Want Us To Plant Churches.
Today, I’ll state the first hope: I want us to plant churches. There are literally thousands of great ways to proclaim the gospel of Jesus to our city, state, country, and world. We could set our energy and resources on them. But I’m convinced that the most biblical and effective way to have the gospel preached, lived, and lifted up is by starting gospel centered, biblically faithful, and missionally engaged churches. We don’t want to just start our church, we want to start churches. And we want those churches to start churches. I want to do this every where we can in all types of locations and cultures. Some will be planted as campuses locally. Others sent out across the region and world. I hope to be about this mission of mulitiplication.
We want to start churches. And we want those churches to start churches.
We want to be equipped and to equip church planters to be theologically robust, personally healthy, and philosophically diverse in order to see as many people love Jesus as possible in as many places as possible. I pray that the Spirit will keep us committed to the Bible and pushing the gospel outside of our walls and neighborhoods. I pray that God will raise up and draw to our church men who share this passion for church planting in order to see us start more and more churches like the one Jesus has planted at Redemption.
