Here’s a few short but great posts by Brian Croft (posted on the Take Your Vitamin Z blog). They give ideas for questions to ask your spouse on date nights. (You are having date nights, right?) These are great ways to increase the communication in your marriage; They will encourage honesty, express love and interest, and help you to grow in knowledge of your spouse.
First, the links for the husbands. There are two posts for the men, and one for the women, because men need more help than women in the communication department. (You know it’s true.) Here’s the first: What Might Be A Surprising Way to Love Your Wife? It focuses on a single question to ask your wife: “What is something practical I can do to make you feel loved and appreciated by me?”
The Second post for the men is titled, “Great Questions to Ask Your Wife on a Date Night.” Some of my favorites include:
– What can I do to make you feel like I enjoy being with you more than anyone else?
– What are some things I can do to encourage you, spiritually?
– What can I do to help relieve the stress of life responsibilities?
The post for wives can be found by clicking here. It looks equally as good.
Make use of these resources! It takes only a short time to review them, but you’ll have be intentional about using these questions. The benefit to your marriage will be worth the effort!
