Think about how inconvenienced you have been or will be today because of the snow:
-couldn’t get to a meeting
-kids weren’t at school, had to find something to do with them
-expecting a package that gets delayed
-friends cancelled a big, fun event
Now, get really mad for a second….
Count to ten….
Then look at a child’s face who is dredging through snow for the first time. Listen to that little kid laughter as they zoom down a hill on their sled.
Makes it all worthwhile, doesn’t it?
Now, go sledding, enjoy God’s creation. He pretty much allows the world to hold still for a day so we can get out and have some fun!!!
Patrick is serving up some cheese with this blog.
Just kidding, I hate the snow but LOVE snow days!

Oh, and p.s. A snowflake is the single, most perfect creation. Look at one single flake up close before it melts. Beautiful perfection.
I agree. I got to celebrate my roomie Katie’s first official snow day with her (she is from Cali). It was SOO much fun – I got to do almost all the things I used to do as a kid and it made me feel so glad that I am able to continue on traditions with my friends (and Lord-willing kiddos one day).
Sidenote – Patrick, are you still thankful for sledding after all the pain your spine is feeling now? (he hit a tree backwards at 20mph) :p
No matter the look on the childrens faces..i still hate the snow..oh well haha
