I just read that Derek Kinder, Anglican priest, died this past week. Most of you don’t know who that is. I’ve never met him and I don’t even know what he looks like. But I’ve loved reading his writings. In fact, almost without fail when I point out an insight from the book of Proverbs in my sermons. I got that from Derek Kinder. I was introduced to him time and time again when preparing papers and doing research for my OT classes. He has a number of commentaries on OT books, but my favorite was always Proverbs. So, while I was thanking God for Mr. Kinder’s life, I thought I’d let ya’ll know, that if you’re looking for a book to study as the New Year comes around, then I commend Proverbs and don’t study it alone. Invite Kinder to study with you.
